The Importance of Hydration

Water is crucial for your body’s functioning. It’s often a cure for headaches, joint pains, and fatigue. It also plays an essential role in digestion by helping to remove toxins and absorb and transport nutrients all over our bodies. Common symptoms of dehydration, lack of water, are tiredness, dry mouth, headache, confusion, and/or dry skin.

Soda does the opposite of water and is NOT a good source for hydration. It uses up water, and leaves your more thirsty than you were before. If you don’t like the taste of plain water, try adding a slice of lemon or lime to it! I love doing that, too.

There are easy ways for you to stay hydrated. I carry my Nalgene with me all the time when I’m out; I love how it’s durable and fits a liter of water. When I’m home, I use a Kate Spade or Lilly Pulitzer tumblr, which fits 16 ounces or half a liter. Both are super convenient!

Water is essential for your daily functioning and is free of calories. Drink up and hydrate yo’ self!
