Recipe: Classic Guacamole

With my father growing up in Mexico, I’ve grown up with guacamole as a staple. It’s definitely one of my favorite foods.

I love having guac with tortilla chips or also inside burritos/tacos. Guacamole is primarily avocado, and is full of healthy fats! Plus, it contains lots of fiber and vitamins. Don’t feel guilty about eating up :p

Guacamole is super easy to make, too. Therefore, without further ado, here is my recipe for a classic guacamole that’s bound to please all.

Classic Guacamole

Serves: 6


  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 large tomato
  • ½ large onion
  • Large handful of cilantro
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Without including the skin or pit, place your avocados in a large bowl. Using a fork, mash them up!

Next chop your tomato, onion, and cilantro. Add those into the bowl, and stir around so everything is evenly mixed in with the avocado.

Squeeze in the lime juice, and sprinkle on salt and pepper. Mix again, and serve with low-salt tortilla chips. Enjoy!
