If you’re sleep deprived.
It’s not worth it get up at 5:00 AM if all your body needs is rest.
This often means turning off your alarm on Sunday morning! It’s important to have a day to relax and recover, plus you can always exercise later in the day if needed.
Additionally, when you’re sleep deprived, you don’t have the energy to push yourself. This mean you won’t get the most out of your workout!
If you’re injured.
It’s not worth it to exercise if it’ll further damage your body. Pain is a sign something is wrong. Often “pushing through the pain” will just make it worse.
Take the time to recover from your injury. Dealing with it right away will save you time and money in the long run.
Note: there’s a difference between being sore and being injured. If you’re sore, it can actually be very beneficial to exercise, as it increases circulation and helps healing.
If you’re sick.
I find I am so much weaker when I’m sick. My body is working much harder in order to fight off the illness; by exercising, I’m using up a lot of that energy that I need to fight off the disease. Therefore, when you’re sick, rest up and allow your body to heal! This will get you back to the normal the fastest.
