Topping Ideas for Your Oatmeal

Oatmeal truly is a blank palate, as there are so many options. I’ve definitely said this before, but you could have oatmeal every single day and never eat the same meal. Whether you want sweet, savory, or something in between, oatmeal has your back 🙂

Oatmeal provides your body with fiber, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and more. It’s a whole grain and known to help lower LDL (“bad”) cholesterol. Don’t feel bad about eating up—I’ve eaten oatmeal for dinner before, so don’t feel limited to solely breakfast.

Throwing in healthy toppings not only make your meal more nutritious, but also make your meal so much more tasty and different. Here are some of my favorite add-ins for my daily cup of oats 🙂

  • Poached egg
  • Dark chocolate (85-95%)
  • Raw mixed nuts, chopped
  • Honey
  • Dried berries
  • Peanut butter
  • Chopped apples
  • Frozen berries
  • Mashed banana
  • Cacao nibs
  • Cinnamon
  • Hemp seeds
  • Coconut flakes, unsweetened
