Ah, Laräbars are incredible. Not only are they extremely tasty, but they only have ingredients that you could find in your home. The Peanut Butter Cookie Laräbar, for example, only has dates, peanuts, and sea salt! Nothing else.
Many people may argue against the nutritional value of Laräbars due to their high sugar content. However, all their sugar is naturally present in the ingredients they use (e.g., dates, other dried fruit). No refined sugar is present, with the exception of it being used as an ingredient in the chocolate chips. Usually I enjoy a Laräbar before my afternoon run, so I like how Laräbars give me [quick] energy for that.
I have not tried all their flavors, so some had to be left out. I just found out a few days ago (via the Laräbar website) that a Mint Chip Brownie Laräbar exists! Ah, I must try it ASAP 🙂 All Laräbars are vegan and gluten-free. Read about their purpose here.
Note: Do not let your Laräbars get overheated. I find they are best enjoyed when they are not warm, as they can get melty. I much prefer them when they are room temperature and/or a bit cold! In my lunch box, I pack an ice pack to keep my apple, Laräbar, and other items cold.
You can find Laräbars in most grocery stores, such as Mariano’s, Whole Foods, etc. I suggest ordering from the Laräbar website itself if you want a high quantity of a specific flavor 🙂
More often than not, I eat a Laräbar once a day, as they are super convenient when you are on the go. Plus, they are super tasty! I always have the Original Laräbar, but there are other types, such as the Laräbar Bites, Organic with Superfoods, Nuts & Seeds, or Fruit & Greens bars.
However, not all Laräbars are created equal. There are flavors that are, without a doubt, better than others! Below is my ranking of the best Original Laräbar flavors.
Ranked: Best Laräbars Flavors
1. Peanut Butter Cookie
Sweet, salty, and rich… What more could you ask for? The Peanut Butter Cookie Laräbar is wonderful for a sweet treat that is both delicious and ready for give you energy.
2. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip
The Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Laräbar really does taste like a dessert! It is rich, sweet, and filled with chocolate. Who could have guessed it only has a few ingredients and no refined sugar?
3. Coconut Chocolate Chip
This Laräbar is sweet, filled with chocolate, and has an amazing texture from the coconut. ❤
4. Banana Bread
To be honest, I was a bit skeptical of the Banana Bread Laräbar at first. Banana bread? In a bar? However, now it is one of my favorites. It is nutty, sweet, and has a distingue banana flavor that is delicious.
5. Lemon Bar
Zesty and sweet, this Laräbar tastes exactly like a lemon bar you would have for dessert.
6. Chocolate Chip Brownie
Want a brownie that is vegan, gluten free, and only has six ingredients? This Laräbar is for you. It is rich, sweet, and oh-so chocolate-y.
7. Coconut Cream Pie
Tasting distinctly like coconut and sweetness, I love this Laräbar. It is exactly like Coconut Chocolate Chip, but without the chocolate chips! Coconut is the main focus here.
8. Apple Pie
Similar to the Banana Bread, I was not sure exactly sure how the Apple Pie Laräbar would taste. However, I absolutely love it. The Apple Pie Laräbar is sweet, warm, and filled with cinnamon. Try it for a comforting treat!
9. Peanut Butter and Jelly
This Laräbar mixes a childhood favorite with healthy ingredients. Dates, peanuts, dried cherries, and a touch of sea salt are all you need to make this Laräbar flavor incredibly tasty.
Coffee, dates, almonds, cashews, vanilla extract. These simple five ingredients make this Laräbar bold, flavorful, and satisfying to any of your java cravings 🙂
11. Cashew Cookie
This Laräbar is rich and buttery, but does not have a piquant flavor of flavor compared to the others. Therefore, it is not my favorite, but I do still enjoy it!
12. Key Lime Pie
This one has almonds and cashews blended with dates, and then coconut and key lime added to it. It is sweet, tangy, wholesome, and much healthier than a real slice Key Lime Pie. 🙂
13. Cookie Dough
The Cookie Dough Laräbar has an intriguing flavor that is similar to cookie dough, but definitely not exactly like it. This Laräbar is not my first pick, especially if there are other flavors available, but overall Cookie Dough is not too bad.
14. Chocolate Coconut Chew
This one has no chocolate chips, so it is the unsweetened cocoa powder combined with the nuts, dates, and coconut that make the Laräbar what it is. It tastes bitter and not a ton of great flavor, so it is definitely not my favorite. (I prefer Chocolate Chip Brownie!)
16. Chocolate Chip Cherry Torté
This one, in contrast to the Chocolate Coconut Chew, is overpoweringly sweet. The cherries alone add tons of sweetness, and then the chocolate chips in addition are too much.
17. Blueberry Muffin
This one, in my opinion, simply does not taste yummy. The blueberries add a weird flavor in a Laräbar, and the cashews keep everything bland. I would choose the Banana Bread or Apple Pie flavors over the Blueberry Muffin flavor any day.
18. Cherry Pie
The reason this Laräbar is last on the list is because it is, again, overpoweringly sweet. You need something to tone down the sweetness, which is why I prefer the Peanut Butter & Jelly! The rich peanuts balance the sweet cherries.
It is important to note that while these are my favorite flavors, other people can easily have different taste preferences. Embrace this! Let me know your favorite Laräbar in the comments 🙂
