Energy Bars You Must Try ASAP

Whether it is based on granola, protein, or something else, bars can be a great source of quick source when you’re on-the-go and feeling hungry. Often I am quite picky with my bars, as I don’t like hundreds of weird ingredients or buckets of added sugar. In no particular order, here are my seven go-to bars for when I need fuel in order to keep me going!

Of course, these had to be on the list. Laräbars are amazing because (a) they are absolutely delicious, and (b) they only have ingredients you’d find in your home. Wondering what flavor to try first? See my post of Ranked: Best Flavors of Laräbars for ideas!

Stocking up on (a) my favorite flavors and (b) new ones I have not tried yet!

– KIND Grains Bar
These bars are different from the original & nut-filled Kind bars, as they are made using five different whole grains (oats, millet, amaranth, buckwheat, and quinoa), rather than nuts. Each flavor then has different add-ins. I love their Cinnamon Oat and Dark Chocolate Chunk.

– Taos Mountain Energy Bar
I first found this bar at REI (my favorite place) and was immediately in love. It has clean ingredients and is ready to give you energy for anything, whether that be a run, a busy afternoon, or, you know, a hike up the mountain. My favorite flavor is their Toasted Coconut.

Do not forget your water!!

– Luna Protein Bar
Luna Protein Bars are not only satisfying & tasty, but they also pack lots of vitamins and nutrients. My top flavors are Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Mint Chocolate Chip. It is clear I love chocolate ;p

A stellar way to start your morning

– Nature Valley Crunchy Bar
These are basic granola bars that are perfect for an afternoon or morning snack. I love their classic Oats & Honey and their Roasted Almond. Next time I want to try the Coconut flavor!

– KIND Nuts & Spices Bar
Kind Nut & Spices Bars have less than five grams of sugar and at least six grams of protein. They have a much shorter list of ingredients than many other bars out there; not to mention they are delectable, as well! My favorite is Dark Chocolate Sea Salt, as it is rich, salty, and therefore satisfying. I cannot wait to try their Dark Chocolate Almond Mint!

– Clif Mojo Trail Mix
Believe it or not, I tried this bar for the first time when I was “stranded” at school starving. I desperately stumbled upon the vending machine, and decided to try something new. I am glad I did! Dark Chocolate Almond Coconut is always my go-to pre-workout. I like these bars much better than the regular Clif!
