What to Wear Working Out in the Summer
Ah, tank tops are such an essential when sweating in the summer. They make such a difference and decrease the likelihood of any pit stains. I love bright colors, as they are fun and look stellar against both tan & sun-kissed skin! My workout tanks I own are from Gap Fit. They are the perfect fit and material.
Shorts, in the summer, are definitely superior to leggings. You want your legs to breathe! Make sure your shorts are the rights size: not too tight or loose! I love (a) Lululemon shorts and (b) Gap Fit. The two have very different styles—Use whatever you like best, which could be both! Good running shoes are essential. Without them, you have a much greater chance of getting injured! Running shoes makes all the difference. Currently I have the Saucony brand, but I have also had New Balance before.
While I love my Nike Frees (pictured below), I choose not to run in them. They are great for doing errands and going on a walk, but they are not equipped to be running shoes due to the lack of support.
I talked about this in another post of mine. A quality sports bra is necessary for any sport. I love ones from Athleta and Lululemon, but I know a lot of friends of mine love Title Nine.
Unlike the winter, I do not wear socks that go high up my leg in the summer. I simply wear thick ankle socks that feel good against my shoes. See above in earlier pictures.
This is optional, but can be a great way to keep the hair & sweat out of your face. Pick a fun color that you like and goes with most outfits. I like the ones from Ivivva and Lululemon.
Always remember to protect yourself from the sun. This usually means wearing sunscreen, sunscreen, or a sun hat!
