Recipe: Spicy Roasted Chickpeas (GF, V)

They are insanely delicious and the perfect snack. Plus, chickpeas (also known as garbanzo beans) are filled with fiber & protein. They are also vegan and gluten-free.

Spicy Roasted Chickpeas

Ingredients

  • 15 oz. cooked chickpeas (usually 1 can)
  • 1/4 tsp. ground paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1.5 tsp. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

Drain any excess liquid from the chickpeas. Use a paper towel to dry the beans. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients. Toss to coat. Lay the chickpeas in a single layer onto a baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes. 15 minutes in, shake the baking sheet so the chickpeas get evenly roasted.
