Changing of the Seasons

The temperatures are finally dropping, and school is back in full swing. It’s mid-October now, and it’s safe to say autumn is definitely here. “Oh, no!” was the first thought that popped into my head when I thought of the summer season ending. As unfortunate as it may be, it’s time to say goodbye to country music and beach days, flip flops and sunscreen, and all the other million items I associate with summer.

That being said, there’s little reason to be sad. Fall brings an amazing & unique time of year, one that’s filled with football games and leaf raking, apple cider and pumpkin pie, cross country races and turtlenecks. There’s nothing I love more than long walks during autumn and seeing the leaves as they change colors and fall ’til they reach the ground. From this post, it’s clear I love the season.

While summer will dearly be missed, it’s exciting to have a new season with a new routine and new activities that are possible. Soon enough it’ll be winter, then spring, and then summer once again. Let’s enjoy the moments we have; one day we’ll we wish we appreciated them while we still had them.

P.S. I highly recommend listening to “Changing of the Seasons” by Two Door Cinema Club.
