The weather is finaaally starting to get warmer, and I’m already looking forward to summer dresses, open-toed sandals, bright-colored tank tops, and lots of swimsuits. However, I don’t want to forget about spring and all the styles I’ve been loving this season, whether that is my beloved beaded bracelets, pajama pants, or messy buns.
Spring Styles You Need to Try Right Now
PANTS WITH A FLARE
Not sure how else to describe. These pants are not quite pajamas. Or maybe they are. Either way, I wear them around the house aaand when I am going out and want to be definitely comfy & casual. They have been a godsend this season, super convenient when even putting on a pair of leggings seems like an impossible amount of work. Okay, call me lazy. I love these pants nonetheless.
SCARVES, AS THEY ARE
This spring I experimented wearing scarves a different way, which is actually simpler than I’ve typically done. Simpler how, exactly, you might ask? The trick is to do essentially nothing and just hang let it hang around your neck. Scarves qualify as a “third piece,” adding something “extra” to your classic bottom & top.
Is your hair gross today? Are you done dealing with it? Or maybe your ponytail is just not working at this moment? Bun it UP! It’s cool to do something different, and “messy” buns can look nice! No tight ballerina buns, here, though.
They have more of a variety than you may assume. I own off-the-shoulder tops that are short-sleeve and long-sleeve, cotton and wool, patterned and plain. Thus, they work in many seasons, and allow you to show off a necklace (or several!).
I have loved adding more jewelry to my outfits this season. This entails several necklaces, earrings (studs or dangling), beaded bracelets, and anklets. It has even gotten to the point where I feel naked without at least one of the previously stated items. Ah. I usually wear earrings no matter the circumstance, bracelets if I am wearing short sleeves, anklets with a skirt or 3/4 leggings, and necklaces if the collar & neckline are simple.
