Daily exercise is necessary for a balanced body and mind. This doesn’t mean doing an insane workout everyday (it’s essential to give yourself rest days), but participating is SOME kind of physical activity is important each day (aim for thirty minutes). Exercise strengthens your heart, reduces stress, boosts energy, and improves sleep. It also bumps up self-esteem and allows you to conquer challenges efficiently.
You’d be surprised how much better I feel after I’ve worked out. In the summer, I like to go right in the morning, before breakfast, so I can start my day in a positive way. I feel accomplished, focused, and alert afterwards. However, during the school year, I like to exercise before I start my homework: it gives me a much-needed, stress-relieving break after a day full of classes and academics. Sundays are my rest days. Find times that works best for you!
